Time is flying into the holidays

Sorry I haven't posted for a time.  We have been busy with trips to Bozeman, Helena and Missoula.  Not to mention a busy Thanksgiving with our friends from Missoula and a frantic end to the big game season.

Elk on the Teigen

I saw these guys moving North on opening day...must have gotten hunting pressure off the Musselshell. They were in an open valley and were not too pleased about it. I wonder how many lived to see the sunset for their were hunters everywhere though a Bull tag in that district would be very rare indeed.

More Whit and Jim

Whit and Jim come to visit

Always good to see friends in Lewistown and having Whit and Jim here for Halloween was not an exception. We had a blast, the hunting was good and we look forward to seeing them again.

10.28.08

George, Peter and the nine hunting dogs departed today. It is always sad to see family leave. I do not have any photos to go along with this post. Just wishing we lived closer to family. Eleanor got her first haircut on friday. It is amazing to see the toddler mullet transformed into little girl's bob.

Halloween is fast approaching, we are carving pumpkins tomorrow. So I will have photos to share soon.

Hunting Time

Antelope and Pheasant are open. Dave from Missoula and Peter and George from Texas have been leading their junk show all over Central Montana. I joined them on Saturday.

Snow comes to Central Montana

While it didn't really work out for the opening of Pheasant and Antelope, last weekends snow did allow E to have some fun in the snow after a long hot summer.

A trip to see the Elk

With Smith away this week Eleanor and I decided to take the afternoon off and drive up to the Missouri Breaks to see the Elk in rut. We got some food on the way out of town and arrived just at sun set with the Bulls on the move. E enjoyed watching the clash of antler racks and the bugling. Now, if only I could get these elk would cross the river and head west...I might see one I could harvest this year.

The Artists Way

Much like her mother Eleanor is turning out to be a busy little crafter and artist. With her love of the outdoors many mornings E can be found painting the lush landscapes of Montana.

Third Year Anniversary

Well we have been the Workwrights for almost 3 years now with the lovely and amazing addition of Eleanor. We have struggled to create or maintain a family album so to mark the beginning of a new year we have created this blog so that we can have a virtual record of our family's adventures.
